THE CALLING

Not by accident.
Not by culture. By design.

Sun cresting above a sea of golden clouds — divine design
"By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families." — THE FAMILY: A PROCLAMATION TO THE WORLD

As Elder Rasband put it, these words "are doctrine." They are the words of the Lord through His prophets — and they describe a calling the world has nearly forgotten.

For one evening, we are gathering Latter-day men and their families to remember and understand. To stand shoulder to shoulder with brethren who share the same covenants, the same struggles, and the same sacred charge.

The world wants us to apologize for this heavenly pattern. We won't.

Bring your wife. Bring your sons. Bring the brother in your ward who needs it most. The Designer has not changed His design. It is time we better live it and defend it.

THE THREEFOLD CHARGE

Three words. One calling.

The Lord gave His sons three clear roles in the family. We are going to spend the evening on what they actually mean — and how to live them.

I.
PRESIDE
To lead a household in righteousness, and with an attentiveness that wards off dangers and invokes the power of heaven.
II.
PROVIDE
Not merely earn. Provide — to make sure your family has what they need, spiritually and temporally, because you took a covenant to do it.
III.
PROTECT
From the lies of the age. The sicknesses of the culture. The predators both obvious and hidden. A father is a watchman on the tower.
WHAT THE EVENING HOLDS

Not a fireside. A gathering.

Three hours. Two voices. Three charges. One room of covenant men remembering what they were made to do.

THE BRETHREN SPEAKING

Men who have taken their stand.

Two voices. One evening. Each bringing their witness of what it means to live the sacred pattern — not in theory, but in the thick of homes, wards, and public life.

WHY WE GATHER
Something happens when covenant men stand in the same room. You feel it at the temple. You feel it in priesthood meeting when the brethren are actually there and actually awake. It isn't small. It's one of the oldest forces on the earth. The Lord built His Church on it.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Before you come, a few things.

Is this just for men?
The evening is designed for Latter-day men, but wives and families are not only welcome — they're encouraged. The Family Pass exists precisely because the pattern of preside-provide-protect is lived inside the household, not apart from it. Bring your wife. Bring your sons.
What's the difference between in-person and livestream?
In-person brethren gather at the Clarion Suites in St. George for the full experience — the teaching, the fellowship before and after, and the weight of standing shoulder to shoulder with covenant men. Livestream attendees receive the full evening broadcast worldwide, plus access to the recording afterward.
Is this a fireside? A conference?
Neither. It's a gathering of brethren. Two speakers, one evening, a focused message on what the Lord has asked His sons to do. Shorter than a conference, weightier than a fireside, and unapologetically for men who want to take their sacred role seriously.
Can I bring a friend who isn't LDS?
Absolutely. The charge to preside, provide, and protect is rooted in restoration scripture, but it speaks to every man called to lead a household. Bring the brother — from your ward, your neighborhood, or anywhere else — who needs to hear it.
Will tickets be available at the door?
In-person seats are limited and expected to fill before the event. We strongly recommend reserving online. Livestream access remains open through the start of the evening.
